That’s what happens when you have (good) (Ashkenaz-Sfarad-mod.) ‘intermarriage’.
I had to daven a number of times at the (unofficial) KAJ non affiliate shul in Paramus. Half Yekkes, half Syrians. Baal koreh was Syrian kid. He was ok.

In an old post you wrote that the Maharam Ash didn’t sing the zemiros of the Arizal. Can you please tell which Maharam Ash you’re referring to? Also, what is the source for this fact?

In response to your queries,
1) The Maharam Ash that was a talmid of the Chasam Sofer.
2) The source (via RBSH) is ספר זכרון יהודא, מונקאטש תר”ס, דף כו ע”ב. See here, a little less than halfway down the page, in the paragraph starting קודם סעודת צהרים, where it states לא מלאו לבו לומר האתקינו סעודתא ולומר דא היא סעודתא. I have now added that source info to the original post as well.
